Comfort and safety are provided by the new FLM 25 from Palfinger – while also offering easy maintenance, according to the manufacturer. Also with ample power and an optimized design, the new mid-seat forklift should score.

“Comfort is not a luxury, but a prerequisite for safe and efficient handling,” says Gerhard Auer, Product Line Leader Special Lifting Solutions at Palfinger, and adds: “With its unique mid-seat concept, the FLM 25 meets a central customer need: to enable the operator to work with ease while simultaneously ensuring maximum safety on the construction site.”

The FLM 25 offers a central, elevated seating position at 1.44 meters – for a 360° all-around view. Externally routed hydraulic lines are said to provide an unobstructed view through the mast. To provide weather protection, a wide

roof is said to be used, and the roomy cabin offers, according to the manufacturer, adequate legroom.

All control elements are designed for intuitive operation – this is intended to help increase efficiency and counteract possible driver fatigue.

Maneuvering in tight spaces

The FLM 25 is said to offer a maximum lifting capacity of 2,500 kilograms with a tare weight of under 2,000 kilograms. Thanks to its optimized design, the FLM 25 is also suitable for rough terrain, on steep slopes, as well as on narrow roads and in confined areas.

Moreover, the 180-degree steering angle provides high maneuverability in the tightest spaces and enables deliveries on narrow roads or driveways.

Telescopic forks are said to enable unloading of goods from the second row of a truck. The maneuvering of

long loads even with limited space is facilitated by the 4-way function, according to the information. Via floor control, the mid-seat forklift can be steered safely and efficiently from the ground when loading onto and unloading from the truck.

“The new FL range is of great strategic value for us. Thanks to its modular design, it meets the diverse requirements of industries such as transport and logistics, construction, infrastructure and many more. With the FLM 25, we continue our commitment to offering intelligent comprehensive solutions for every challenge our customers face,” explains Andreas Hille, SVP Global Product Line Management and R&D at Palfinger.

Simplified maintenance

Both the side-seat models (FLS) and the mid-seat models (FLM) of the FL line are said to offer easy access to maintenance points, thereby simplifying

daily inspections and maintenance work.

Also available as an electric variant

All models are available with a diesel drive or as a fully electric variant – the latter is suitable for quiet and low-emission operation in urban areas and for nighttime deliveries, and is said to feature a low tare weight.

For the FL range, Palfinger cites a maximum system power of up to 26.3 kW. The series enables fleet managers, with the digital tool Connected plus+, to capture data in real time.

Another model planned

The FLM 25 is now available to order in the EMEA region. The FL range is said to continue growing. End of 2025 will be followed by the FLM 15, a lighter variant with a smaller mast, developed for applications in the beverage and
