The Rhenus Group is advancing its regional strategy in the Middle East and has expanded its operating model in the United Arab Emirates. After around ten years of continuous activity in the UAE, a new office in Abu Dhabi is set to open shortly. The focus would also be on the other GCC markets such as Qatar and Saudi Arabia, which would offer substantial potential, according to the logistics company. Jan Harnisch, Board Member – Air & Ocean:

Logistics hub UAE
The UAE are an established logistics hub in the movement of goods between Europe, Asia and Africa. By expanding its own presence, the company aims to leverage
this role to offer customers within the Emirates as well as beyond more flexible and direct services.
New connections to Europe and North America
A new air-ocean service is also planned to complement the Far East with Europe and North America in the future, with the UAE to assume the role of a strategic transshipment hub. According to Rhenus, the core areas remain air and ocean freight.
At the same time, the logistics company is now the official freight forwarder and on-site handling partner
for the Dmg Events trade shows at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Centre. These include, among others, INDEX Saudi Arabia, Orgatec – Workspace, as well as three parallel exhibitions taking place in September 2025. Hassan Alzeer, General Manager of Rhenus Logistics UAE:
