Schmitz Cargobull and the IoT connectivity and end-to-end solutions provider AddSecure announce a strategic cooperation. The two companies thus expand their collaboration with the aim of jointly shaping the future of connected transport solutions across Europe, according to the information provided.

Integrated scalable solutions

By bundling expertise, they want to offer fully integrated telematics solutions that simplify fleet management, increase efficiency and accelerate digitalization for transport and logistics companies.

Schmitz Cargobull and AddSecure want to expand their joint go-to-market approach. Through the

collaboration, transport and logistics companies will be provided with telematics data from Schmitz Cargobull trailers and telematics-enabled trucks, as well as TPMS information (tire pressure monitoring system).

Central Data Platform

The telematics data from Schmitz Cargobull trailers and telematics-enabled trucks will be seamlessly transferred to AddSecure's FleetVision portal. This integration takes place via Schmitz Cargobull's TrailerConnect Data Management Center. All relevant trailer and truck data are thus visible in a single environment.

No additional hardware or manual setup is required for this.

The solution is ready for operation immediately after delivery. The integration uses the existing TrailerConnect hardware and truck systems.

Retrofit solutions for cold-chain transport

In addition, both companies have announced that they will deepen their collaboration on retrofit solutions for cold-chain transport, thereby enabling safer, more sustainable, and more efficient fleet operations.

“The automatic integration of vehicle data into FleetVision enables fleet management of the next generation — safe, intelligent and sustainable,” promises Claes Ödman, President Smart Transport at AddSecure.

For mixed

fleets

As another advantage of the new solution, the trailer manufacturer cites scalability for mixed fleets: thanks to the open and manufacturer-independent architecture, the solution is suitable for large fleets with different vehicle types.

In addition, Schmitz Cargobull points to retrofit capability: older trailers and trucks could be easily integrated – including options for solar units and additional sensors.

In the long-term collaboration, the two companies, according to their own statements, focus on comprehensive integration, fleet digitalization, and scalable solutions for international
