More than 65,000 drivers will now have direct access to Toll Collect's live data through the Lkw.App, according to information from Aparkado - and thereby access to current occupancy information for over 1,000 truck parking spaces along the highways.

Step-by-step expansion

The data will be gradually integrated into the app with the start of the pilot phase on 01.07.2025, it is stated.

The aim of both partners is to advance digitization in the transport sector and offer practical solutions.

The app developed by Aparkado informs about the occupancy of highway parking spaces with an update every 15 minutes. By 31.12.2025, an additional 900 parking spaces should be gradually added.

Predictive parking search

Since the application's inception, the goal has been to significantly improve the

parking situation for truck drivers and minimize the daily pressure in their professional lives. This is now emphasized by the cooperation with Toll Collect GmbH.

The app provides truck drivers in Europe with information for efficient and predictive parking searches, including live data and occupancy forecasts for the next 15 hours – for better route planning and to avoid unnecessary waiting times.

According to Aparkado, the parking search has so far averaged up to 45 minutes per instance, generated around 16 kilograms of CO₂ emissions, and burdened transport companies with approximately 71 euros in additional costs per driver per month.

Two years ago, the Lkw.App team developed its own forecasting model for parking space occupancy. This now serves as the technical basis for integrating
