Volkswagen Truck and Bus has, on 12 November 2025, for the first time introduced a model developed exclusively for export. The Constellation 26.480 appears as the brand's largest long-haul vehicle and will be presented for the first time at the Expotransporte trade fair in Mexico. The model features a permissible gross vehicle weight of seventy-four tonnes, a six-driven-wheel drive, and a thirteen-liter engine. It marks the brand's entry into the Mexican segment of particularly heavy trucks, according to a statement from Volkswagen Truck and Bus.

Equipment and Technical Options

The company explains

that the vehicle is delivered as standard with comfort and safety features. These include air suspension, a retarder in combination with engine braking, and, if desired, a steel suspension. Volkswagen offers the model in three wheelbases. The rollout in other countries is planned to proceed gradually and will be guided by the demand from customers who already use vehicles with Euro 6 emission standard.

Expanded product program for Mexico

The model offensive in Mexico includes further novelties. According to the information, this includes the Constellation 20.480 with two driven wheels and also

a thirteen-liter engine. The revised line of light commercial vehicles in the Delivery product family is also introduced and receives an automated transmission. The manufacturer also names the Delivery 6.170 in updated form.

In the mid-weight segment, Volkswagen Truck and Bus focuses on the Constellation 26.320 and a new cab with a raised roof and a sleeping area. Additionally, the company is bringing the Highline equipment package to market, which is intended to offer higher comfort features.

Electric commercial vehicles and passenger transport

The portfolio also includes the second generation of the

electric-powered e-Delivery. The model is available with up to six battery packs and reaches a range of up to 250 kilometers. In the area of passenger transport, Volkswagen Truck and Bus presents the Volksbus 15.210 as a newly relaunched variant of the existing Huracán model for the Mexican market.
