The shipping company Wec Lines has, according to its own statements, revised its previous UK–Ireland–Spain service and renamed it to NWC Spain. The launch of the new offering is on 27 September 2025. The service will be operated weekly with two ships, each with a capacity of 812 and 822 TEU.

Expanded port rotation

According to Wec Lines, the schedule includes

the ports Antwerp, Le Havre, Montoir-de-Bretagne, Bilbao, Gijón, Liverpool and Dublin. The new additions are Antwerp, Montoir-de-Bretagne and Gijón. Departures from Bilbao take place on Fridays, arrival in Liverpool is planned for Mondays, arrival in Dublin on Wednesdays.

Short transit times and rail connections

From Antwerp to Bilbao, transit times of seven days are offered according to the company; from Montoir-de-Bretagne

to Bilbao the running time is two days. In Bilbao there are rail connections to Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid, Zaragoza and Agoncillo in La Rioja. From Liverpool, rail connections to Belfast, Mossend and Greenock are offered, according to Wec Lines.
