Austrians could conveniently combine grocery shopping with the pickup or shipping of parcels, it is said. In the coming months, nationwide across Austria, well over 100 new 24/7 post stations will be established in front of SPAR markets. Hans K. Reisch, Chairman of the Board, SPAR AG:

“Being able to take care of as many errands as possible in one place is practical, saves time and thus increases the quality of life of the local population. That is our goal. We are therefore pleased about the new cooperation with the Post and about over 100 Post parcel stations in front of our SPAR markets. We are starting in the east and south of Austria; a rollout across the whole of

Austria is planned.”

And Walter Oblin, Chief Executive Officer, Österreichische Post AG, adds:

“With more than 100 new post stations in front of SPAR markets, we are setting another milestone in our digitization and service offensive. Customers benefit from maximum flexibility and can conveniently combine their postal services with their shopping. At the same time, we strengthen local supply across Austria and create a modern infrastructure that makes everyday life easier.”

The joint commissioning of the 24/7 Poststation started in front of the Eurospar market in Vienna-Meidling, Sagedergasse 13. The Poststation has nearly 140 compartments and is located on the parking lot directly in front of the building. It is accessible around the clock for pickup or

shipping of prefranked packages with a return label or parcel label.
