The German Logistics Association (BVL) e.V. elected five new members to its board at its general meeting during the transport logistic trade fair in Munich. With personalities from industry, science, and logistics services, the new appointments reflect the increasing complexity and interdisciplinarity of the sector.

The newly appointed to the leadership committee are Ralf Busche (BASF), Felix Fiege

(Fiege Group), Dr. Arne Flemming (Bosch), Prof. Dr.-Ing. Alice Kirchheim (TU Dortmund/Fraunhofer IML), and Matthias Magnor (BLG Logistics). They bring experience in global supply chains, strategic supply chain management, as well as research and development. All newly elected members have extensive industry knowledge and some were already active in the BVL advisory board.

At the same time, four

board members were confirmed in their positions, including Tim Scharwath (DHL Global Forwarding, Freight) and Alexander Doll (including Frankfurt School of Finance & Management). Five previous members stepped down from the board as scheduled.

With around 10,000 members, the BVL, founded in 1978, sees itself as a bridge between business and science.
