The Driver Yearbook from HUSS-VERLAG GmbH will already be published in its 50th edition in 2025. To mark this anniversary, for the first time a “PLUS” and a “DIGITAL” version will be available online in eleven languages. The Driver Yearbook thus responds to the driver shortage and the often lacking German language skills among foreign drivers.

The pocket-format practical book covers relevant topics and regulations in the areas of truck transport, law and hazardous goods. The current issue

also informs about the following new topics:

Current judgments on traffic matters

  • Truck driver-assistance systems: More safety through mandatory equipment
  • Automatic weight monitoring: Pilot project by BALM and Autobahn GmbH
  • Truck parking spaces with a staggering record: the acute shortage of parking spaces in figures
  • Digital tachograph Version 2: mandatory for Nfz > 2.5 t zGG in cross-border traffic
  • Medical care on the road: DocStop expands its offering

The Driver Yearbook 2026 also offers a calendar with holidays

and driving bans, emergency numbers in Germany and abroad, tips for securing loads and an overview of secure parking spaces.

Each Driver Yearbook also includes a card for verifying the driver's license. On it, the driver confirms that he possesses the required driver's license and the knowledge and skills necessary to operate motor vehicles. The card serves the employer as proof of compliance with his legal obligation to conduct license checks and his information duties.

In addition, the

Driver App that supports the Driver Yearbook is available free of charge for download in the Google Store. Alternatively it can also be used directly at www.fahrer-app.de.
