The packaging specialist Raja will introduce the packaging machine "FillPak Mini" in 16 European countries in September 2025. The compact paper-based void fill machine was developed by the technology partner Ranpak. The device is aimed at companies in logistics, e-commerce, retail, or industry that operate with limited space.

With dimensions of 31 × 28 × 21 centimeters (W × D × H) and a weight of 10.4 kilograms, the "FillPak Mini" is designed to fit directly on a table or shelf. Despite its compact design, the manufacturer claims

it offers the full functionality of larger systems. It uses automatic cutting technology to shape individual sheets of paper into crumpled filling material that pads voids in packages, thus protecting sensitive goods during shipping.

The system offers three operating modes – fixed length mode, batch mode, and continuous operation – and can be controlled via a foot pedal. Depending on the work environment, the cushioning material can be placed directly into the package. This allows the machine to be flexibly integrated into existing packaging processes, improving ergonomics and

efficiency at the packing station.

The "FillPak Mini" processes both conventional recycled paper and the new "Grasikraft" offered by Raja. This material combines grass fibers with recycled paper, representing a particularly sustainable packaging alternative. The versatility of the machine allows it to be used in numerous industries – from pharmaceuticals to electronics to traditional mail order.

At market launch in September 2025, the "FillPak Mini" will be available in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the Benelux countries, as well as in Poland, the Czech

Republic, Slovakia, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. The introduction marks another step in the longstanding partnership between Raja and Ranpak, it is said. The collaboration between the two companies has existed since the 1980s. Since then, several thousand packaging systems have been installed across Europe.
