With the new high-speed door V 5025 Z, Hörmann brings to the market a solution that has been developed especially for the demanding and often hectic daily routine in logistics and production companies. The flexible door impresses with a special feature: it can re-thread itself into the guide rails after a collision damage – without the use of tools or a service technician. This is made possible by the so-called Zipper technology.
Functional even after collision damage
Collisions with industrial trucks are a reality in daily operations. Especially with high throughput, it can happen that high-speed doors are damaged by careless driving maneuvers and are torn out of the guide rails. While conventional doors are often no longer operational in such cases, the new V 5025 Z remains functional.
If, for example, the door is torn from the side section by a forklift, plastic gliders on the door sides automatically guide the
curtain back into the guide rails during the next door movement – just like a zipper. This reduces unplanned downtimes and increases the availability of the door system.
Maintenance-free plastic guide rails accommodate the zipper on the door curtain
The central element of the new development is the redesigned side section, in which all attachment points lie on one line. The integrated, maintenance-free plastic guide rails accommodate the zipper on the door curtain and ensure a reliable run. The construction is so robust that it withstands wind loads up to wind class 3 according to DIN EN 12424 – a significant factor for use in outdoor areas.
Additional safety in operation is provided by a viewing field of approximately 90 centimeters across the entire door width. It allows good visibility of oncoming traffic or people. The flexible door closure consists of a double PVC curtain loop that seals reliably even on uneven
ground.
Installation and commissioning
The door opens at up to two meters per second and closes at one meter per second. It is available in maximum dimensions of 5,000 × 5,000 millimeters. For easy installation, the V 5025 Z is largely pre-assembled upon delivery. Transport and commissioning are also optimized with a clever packaging and connection concept: The drive unit, control, and accessories are compactly packaged together. The Snap cable system allows quick connection of the door.
As standard, the high-speed door is equipped with the Hörmann control BK FU Z. Optionally, it can be upgraded to the more powerful frequency converter control BK 150 FUE-1. This enables higher opening speeds and reduces wear through smooth starting and stopping – contributing to the longevity of the entire system.
The V 5025 Z is produced in Germany and is available in five RAL standard colors: Zinc Yellow (RAL 1018), Pure Orange (RAL 2004),
Agate Gray (RAL 7038), Carmine Red (RAL 3002), and Gentian Blue (RAL 5010). It is equally suitable for use in both indoor and outdoor areas.
