With the new SC1.2 electric walkie counterbalance stacker, Hyster brings a cost-effective solution for simple stacking and transport tasks to the market. Developed for in-house use in confined spaces, the model is particularly suitable for applications in warehouses, order picking areas, and manufacturing, where open pallets need to be moved regularly.
“Simple pallet movements can be part of daily operations in manufacturing,” says Martina Zolezzi, Regional Product Manager at Hyster.
The device combines compact dimensions with a load capacity of up to 1,200 kilograms. According to the manufacturer, users benefit from a stable construction with a high-strength chassis, a robust lifting mast, and a low battery installation point that contributes to weight distribution. These features not only enhance stability but also improve operating comfort and work safety, especially when
maneuvering in tight spaces or high-traffic areas.
Lithium battery can be charged at standard outlets
A central feature is the hard-wired (integrated) lithium-ion battery with 60 ampere-hours. It allows for interim charging, significantly increasing device availability. In less than four hours, the battery is fully charged and can be operated continuously for up to 2.5 hours depending on the usage profile.
The integrated charger offers even more flexibility: The counterbalance stacker can be connected to any standard outlet, reducing the need for stationary charging infrastructure and allowing for spontaneous recharging during operation. Additionally, an intuitive battery indicator with charging prompts supports proactive planning of charging cycles. This minimizes downtime and makes operational processes more efficient.
The proportional lift function ensures precise work: it allows for accurate control of the
lifting speed, enabling precise placement of loads—a feature particularly advantageous for storing and retrieving in tight spaces.
“Operational productivity doesn’t depend solely on speed. Accuracy also plays an important role,” comments Zolezzi.
Stable and maneuverable counterbalance stacker
An adjustable counterbalance wheel further improves maneuverability, which brings noticeable advantages especially in narrow aisles or on uneven floors. The combination of thoughtful ergonomics, high maneuverability, and reliable battery technology makes the Hyster SC1.2 an economical alternative for companies looking to support their material flows with a durable, low-maintenance device, according to the manufacturer.
The Hyster SC1.2 is now available through the global dealer network. Original spare parts and services are also available for easy maintenance.
Lithium-Ion Batteries at Hyster
The industrial truck manufacturer Hyster has been working intensively for some time
on optimizing its range for lithium-ion batteries. The new series of integrated lithium-ion electric forklifts for high-performance applications “Hyster J10-18XD.” These models offer performance comparable to diesel-powered forklifts and are flexible enough to adapt to different operating conditions. Thanks to scalable battery options, charging cycles and energy needs can be matched to the specific operation. All devices come standard with a Combined-Charging-System (CSS) that supports various charging scenarios.
Already last year, Hyster expanded its range of lithium-ion counterbalance trucks with new 4-wheel trucks of the UTL series and new 3-wheel trucks of the UTTL series. These models are also equipped with lithium-ion batteries, but still integrated via a battery box under the seat. Unlike integrated models, this battery box can be replaced if necessary, for example, with a lead-acid
