Transport companies should thereby gain direct access to fossil-free fuel, according to the company. With the Großmehring site, Rolande is expanding its European LNG filling-station network and aims to improve supply in southern Germany.

The new station is accessible around the clock, features two LNG fueling dispensers and is designed for all common LNG vehicles, it says. Thanks to user-friendly self-service and ample access, it is particularly suitable

for heavy trucks in international long-haul transport.

In addition, the public fueling station is strategically located on the A9 motorway, and thus on one of Europe's most important north-south connections. Jolon van der Schuit, CEO of Rolande:

"With the new site in Großmehring, we are creating an important link between southern Germany and our existing network in the Benelux countries. We are investing strategically in the expansion of

our network to accelerate the shift toward sustainable transport across Europe, without compromises on cost, range, or availability."

Available and economical

Bio-LNG is a fossil-free fuel produced from organic waste materials such as manure or food scraps. Compared with diesel, Bio-LNG, according to the company, enables CO₂ reductions of up to 100 percent. In certain cases, for example when using particularly methane-rich residual materials, a negative CO₂ footprint

could even be achieved.

The emission savings are also transparent, certified, and CSRD-compliant. This allows transport companies and companies with in-house logistics to achieve their sustainability goals credibly, measurably, and without disruption to operations.

The new station is aimed at freight forwarders, fleet operators and companies with in-house logistics, who are seeking an immediately available, economical, and scalable solution for CO₂ reduction, regardless of government subsidies, it says.
