The Kienzle Beteiligungs GmbH, parent company of Kienzle Automotive GmbH, has acquired TACHOfresh GmbH, based in Wildau near Berlin. Through the acquisition, the company broadens its competencies in software and data management and pursues its strategic direction toward a manufacturer-independent solutions provider in the European telematics market.
SaaS solution for tachograph data and driving times in the transport and logistics sector
TACHOfresh is regarded as an established provider of SaaS solutions for the transport and logistics industry. The company has been developing modular software for three decades, primarily used for archiving tachograph data as well as calculating and using remaining driving time. These functions are essential for fleet operators to
reduce idle time, plan routes efficiently, and increase productivity. TACHOfresh's solutions are already in use by numerous telematics providers across Europe.
10,000 fleets with over 130,000 vehicles
With the acquisition of TACHOfresh, Kienzle, according to its own statements, expands access to an existing customer base of around 10,000
fleets with over 130,000 vehicles. The purchase follows the June 2025 acquisition of the tracking specialist Ubinam. It is another step in expanding the software expertise within the corporate group. The integration of highly specialized providers should enable Kienzle to respond more effectively to individual customer requirements and to further differentiate its own portfolio of solutions.
TACHOfresh is also expected to remain independent after the takeover and continue its existing strategic orientation. The company intends to maintain its position as an independent provider in the German and European telematics market. At the same time, through the merger, synergies are to be leveraged and the range of services expanded.
