Thermo King replaces its previous T-series with the new TX-series, thereby modernizing its portfolio in the field of truck cooling units. The new models cover both fresh and deep-frozen transports and are designed for single- and multi-chamber applications. The manufacturer promises up to 17 percent higher cooling performance, up to 7 percent better fuel efficiency, and a weight reduction of up to 40 kilograms. This is a response to rising demands for transport efficiency and sustainability.

TX maintenance intervals are 2,000 hours
The new TX machines were tested, according to Thermo King, under temperature conditions up to 55°C. Optimized components improved airflow and increased system performance, as they say. The design aims at lower life-cycle costs and easy maintenance: Extended maintenance intervals of 2,000 hours, programmable service indicators, and the monitoring system “ServiceWatch” promise reduced downtime and lower operating costs. The “BlueBox” telematics also enables full monitoring of the devices and sends notifications directly
to apps or by e-mail.
HVO biodiesel supported, B100 biofuel convertible to EN 14214
All models support operation with HVO biodiesel. Optionally they can be retrofitted to B100 biofuel according to EN 14214 – without affecting maintenance cycles, as stated. This reduces fleet operators' emissions according to the manufacturer by up to 90 percent for CO₂ and 78 percent for particulates. At the same time, a new refrigerant routing reduces the refrigerant charge and the greenhouse potential by
up to 21 percent.
The operation of the machines is controlled via a control system in the cab. In noise-sensitive areas, the Whisper option ensures quiet operation. The PIEK-certified “Whisper Pro” models are suitable for night-time operation in urban areas.
Thermo King is now offering the TX-series in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. A two-year full warranty, as well as access to over 500 service locations in 75 countries of the EMEA region, complement the offering.
