The trailer specialist Schmitz Cargobull AG and the tire manufacturer Goodyear have deepened their technological collaboration and will enable fleet operators to directly access Goodyear's tire pressure monitoring system "TPMS Connect" via the Schmitz platform "TrailerConnect" and the "Data Management Center" (DMC). The integration allows the use of all functions of "Goodyear TPMS Connect" without the need for additional hardware installations, SIM cards, or new interfaces, as it is said. The Goodyear solution is fully compatible with the existing telematics and TPMS infrastructure of the Schmitz Cargobull trailer.

Goodyear TPMS Connect captures tire pressure, tire temperature, and GPS positions in real-time

"Goodyear TPMS Connect" is a plug-and-play solution that captures and processes real-time data on tire pressure,

tire temperature, and GPS positions. The heart of the solution is the proprietary "G-Predict" technology, an analysis platform based on predictive data processing. According to the provider, this allows potential tire issues to be identified early and targeted maintenance actions to be initiated. As a result, unplanned downtimes can be significantly reduced and traffic safety increased. The solution also supports compliance with TPMS-related EU regulations on tire safety.

"TrailerConnect" and "Data Management Center" consolidate tire data across manufacturers

The full integration into Schmitz Cargobull's "TrailerConnect Data Management Center" allows fleet managers to consolidate all tire-related data across manufacturers on one platform and combine it with other operational information. The DMC offers standardized interfaces to over 40 established

real-time visibility and telematics providers, including Trimble, Krone, idem, RIO, ZF Transics, and CO3. An import function also allows data from other manufacturers to be centrally mapped and evaluated. The system is ready to use immediately and requires no additional IT integration.

Data protection compliant according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

A particular focus is on data sovereignty: users individually control which information is visible to which partners. According to Schmitz Cargobull, all data is processed in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This ensures that business-critical information about transport networks, subcontractors, or cargo specifics remains confidential.

In combination with the "TrailerConnect TourTrack" module, fleet operators receive an overview of individual transports in

real-time. Functions such as interactive temperature monitoring, GPS tracking, cargo monitoring, and condition analyses are available on a tour basis and can be used flexibly for FTL (Full Truck Load) and LTL (Less Than Truck Load) transports. This results in a fully digitized transport chain that makes operational processes more efficient and allows immediate response to deviations.

Goodyear expands ecosystem for fleet mobility

For Goodyear, this integration marks another milestone in expanding its European ecosystem for fleet mobility. The combination of tire intelligence with comprehensive trailer telematics supports freight forwarders in digitizing their processes and reducing operational costs. With this partnership, Schmitz Cargobull underlines its ambition to position itself as a technology leader in the field of
