At Busworld Europe 2025 from October 4 to 9 in Brussels, Spheros (Hall 3, Booth 317) will present the fully electric Revo-E R290 with propane refrigerant. This will expand the Revo-E family to include three fully electric rooftop air conditioning units: the Revo-E R290 with propane as refrigerant, the Revo-E HP R744 with CO2 as refrigerant, and the Revo-E Global with the conventional R-407C based on hydrofluorocarbons, a mix of the hydrofluorocarbons R134a (52%), R125 (25%), and R32 (23%). All product lines are interface compatible and available in different performance classes. With the models Revo-E R290 and Revo-E HP R744, Spheros complies

with the current F-Gas Regulation as well as future PFAS regulations.

In the Revo-E R290, numerous additional functions such as heat pump, battery and component cooling, front box connection, and heat recovery are possible as needed. It will go into series production at the end of 2026 and features a certified safety concept, which is essential for a unit operated with the flammable propane.

Revo-E HP R744 now also available for coaches

In the Revo-E HP R744 with heat pump function, only the natural refrigerant CO2 has been used since 2021. The unit was specifically developed for buses with alternative drives. An

optimized architecture and new components enable a flat design, so that the unit is now available not only for city buses but also for coaches. The climate system is also optionally available with integrated battery cooling.

Efficient: the Revo-E Global in the second generation

With the fully electric Revo-E Global, Spheros draws on almost ten years of field experience in global bus markets. The second generation of the product family is now entering the market with 20% higher efficiency and 10% more cooling capacity than its predecessor. This is achieved by optimizing the components and adjusting the overall system regulation. If desired,

a battery temperature management (BTM) system can be integrated into the unit.

Spheros E-Cooler BTM: All-in-One Device

Spheros' expertise in battery cooling dates back to 2014 when the Spheros E-Cooler was introduced to the market for use in hybrid and electric buses. With the new E-Cooler 100 BTM, Spheros now introduces an efficient battery temperature management system with a cooling capacity of 10 kW, suitable for a wide range of vehicle applications.
