The Düsseldorf-based company Henkel has introduced a new product portfolio for the repair of electric vehicles. The solutions are tailored to the specific requirements of workshops in the field of electromobility and are intended to improve repair quality, efficiency and safety.

With the offering, Henkel is responding to the growing number of electric

vehicles and the associated challenges for repair businesses – particularly when working on high-voltage systems and electric drive components.

New Henkel Product Portfolio

The portfolio includes, among other things, thermal gap fillers, seals, thread-locking devices and bonding adhesives. These products are especially designed for the repair of battery and drive systems. According to

the company, repairs to batteries can save up to 77 percent of costs and up to 91 percent of CO2 emissions compared with replacement. In addition to the products, Henkel offers workshops with technical support as well as instructions for use. The solutions align with the company's own sustainability concept “Repair, Reuse, Remanufacture,

Recycle,” which aims to extend the lifespan of vehicle components and reduce waste.

Henkel emphasizes that the new materials are designed for easy processing and reliable performance. They are intended to help workshops carry out repairs more efficiently and at the same time contribute to the circular economy in the automotive sector. (Source:
