Messe Frankfurt continues to expand its international engagement in the automotive sector. Automechanika, a trade fair for products and services in the automotive, workshop and service sectors, will take place at two additional locations: in Jakarta (Indonesia) and in Baku (Azerbaijan). In addition, Messe Frankfurt is bringing its event format “Festival of Motoring” to Australia for the first time. The company currently organizes around 40 trade fairs and events in the automotive sector worldwide.

Detlef Braun, the managing director of Messe Frankfurt, explains this

step as follows:

„We will continue to expand our engagement in the automotive business. The pressure to transform in the automotive industry is increasing, and trade fairs prove to be an important catalyst.”

Premiere of Automechanika Jakarta 2026

From 24 to 27 September 2026, the first Automechanika Indonesia will take place at the new Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE) in Jakarta. The partner is GIAMM (Indonesian Automotive Parts & Components Industries Association). About 350 exhibitors are expected on a site spanning approximately 15,000 square

Automechanika Baku starts in 2027

The premiere of Automechanika Baku is planned for 3 to 5 March 2027. The licensee is the newly founded company Tajsir Expo LLC, a joint venture of Business Media Central Asia and Iteca Caspian. Business Media Central Asia already organizes the Automechanika fairs in Astana and Tashkent, while Iteca is regarded as the leading trade fair organizer in Azerbaijan.

“Festival of Motoring” comes to Sydney

In addition to the new Automechanika locations, Messe Frankfurt brings the “Festival of

Motoring” to Australia for the first time. The event is scheduled to take place from 20 to 22 November 2026 at the Sydney Motorsport Park. The partner is the Australian media entrepreneur Michel Malik, CEO of the trade magazine group BodyShop News International. The festival offers a range of topics around mobility, motorsport and vehicle culture and is aimed at both trade visitors and car enthusiasts. The format has been successfully staged at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Johannesburg since 2016. (Source: Messe
