The collaboration between the workshop chain ATU and the contract logistics provider ID Logistics will continue: As both companies announce, the existing intralogistics contract at the Werl site has been extended ahead of schedule by several years.
Since 2021, ID Logistics has been responsible at the North Rhine-Westphalia site, covering an area of 80,000 square meters, for all internal material and information flows as well as the turnover of goods of around 21,000 different articles for ATU – for both the private and the business customer segments. At that time, the service provider had taken over around 80 employees as part of a business transfer and successfully integrated the logistics services previously provided in Weiden into Werl.

At the center of the logistics infrastructure are highly automated storage systems: In addition to a high-bay warehouse with 47,000 pallet locations, ID Logistics operates there an automatic tire storage (12,300 pallets), a wheel/rim storage (15,000 pallets) as well as an automated small-parts warehouse with a capacity of 114,000 pallet locations. The logistics facility was taken over by ID Logistics at the contract start, stabilized, and has since been operated continuously.

New Chairman of the Management Board at ATU
Parallel to the premature extension of the contract with ID Logistics, there are also personnel changes at ATU: Sebastian Jarantowski recently took over as Chairman of the Management Board. The 47-year-old has been with the workshop chain since 2015 and was most recently responsible for financial affairs. With the leadership change, the French parent Mobivia intends to advance the strategic realignment of the company. Jarantowski succeeds Sascha Bopp, who had led the company since October 2022. Mobivia spoke of an amicable separation and thanked Bopp for his contributions to the positive development of ATU.
