The climate-tech start-up Enerkii has completed a financing round led by the World Fund. The Munich-based young company announced this on July 16.

Founded in March 2024 by David Balensiefen, Henry Thierhoff, and Hendrik Abel, Enerkii addresses two core problems: With "enerkii OS," the company claims to calculate the appropriate energy system configuration for businesses in just 15 minutes. According to Enerkii, this saves expensive consultants and weeks of

planning time. In the "Energy-as-a-Service model," Enerkii then finances, installs, and operates the complete solutions - photovoltaics, battery storage, charging infrastructure, and smart residual power procurement - directly on-site at the customer's location.

According to the information provided, Enerkii offers a software and hardware solution that delivers green energy without customers having to take risks or make investments.

Hendrik Abel, co-founder of Enerkii, said: "What has been missing is

an operator who can offer know-how, financing, and operation from a single source. With Enerkii, we fill this gap. There are no investments, no complexity. We only earn when the customer saves. This makes decarbonization a no-brainer and an immediate competitive advantage."

Co-founder Henry Thierhoff added: "We offer a package where sustainability is not just an altruistic act rewarded with a green premium, but where there is actually a

green discount."

According to the announcement, the Enerkii team has already concluded 18 contracts with German industrial companies, and plants with a total capacity of over 87 megawatts are currently in planning. The start-up stated that it would use the capital from the financing round to advance European expansion plans and hire key employees. The company aims to become the leading provider of decentralized renewable energy for commerce and
