The EXPO REAL, which will take place from 6 to 8 October 2025 at Messe München, offers again this year an extensive conference program with many high-profile speakers on many important topics of the real estate industry, such as the area of logistics real estate. Discussions will be held in nine different forums: among them are the TechTalk Stage, the Decarb Arena, the Grand Plaza Stage as well as the new Forum Flexible Housing.
What events for those interested in logistics real estate are planned has LOGISTIK HEUTE compiled: Thus the Logistics Real Estate Initiative (Logix) for the seventh time since its inception awards the Logix Award for the most outstanding logistics real estate development of the past two years. Developments that were completed in Germany in the period from September 2023 to August 2025 will be awarded and, in particular, meet the demands of municipalities, users and investors. In addition, it will be considered how the projects integrate urban planning, ecological and social aspects. In the current competition,
the expert jury with 27 projects achieved a new record of applications. Six finalist projects are nominated as aspirants for the award this year. The winner will be announced on the evening of the first day of the trade fair, on 6 October, for invited guests.
How the logistics real estate market develops will be discussed on 6 October from 15:00 to 15:50 in the Discussion & Networking Forum. “Logistics real estate market Germany and Europe: Growth, Change, Competitive pressure” is the title of this exhibitor forum, where Katrin Hupfauer, Head of Real Estate Transactions at MEAG, Christian Kah, Managing Director of Colliers International Deutschland, and Dr. Kilian Mahler, Managing Partner of Periskop Logistics, will speak.
One of Logix's cooperation partners is the German Association of Cities and Municipalities (DStGB), with whom the initiative intends to intensify the exchange with municipal officials. At the EXPO REAL the initiative will thus for the first time host a Business Lunch for municipal representatives as well as economic development agencies. With this
format, personal acquaintance and mutual exchange are to be promoted. The Business Lunch will take place on the second day of the fair, 7 October, from 12:00 to 13:30 in the “Bierstüberl”, West Entrance, Am See, Seeblick, 1st Floor, West Entrance.
And on 7 October, in the panel format “Let’s talk Logistics,” trends in logistics real estate will be discussed. In the discussion round, experts will illuminate the current trends they observe around technology, construction methods and operation of logistics real estate. In a keynote, the winner of the Logix Award 2025 will present the concept and implementation of their project. In the subsequent discussion, the perspective will be widened: Which equipment is standard, which is desirable? What relevance do AI, ESG & Co. have? What applies to new builds and what to the existing stock? And what does the market say in the present situation? This talk format will take place on the second trade fair day from 10:00 to 10:50 in the Planning & Partnerships Forum –
Hall A1.
In the same panel format, from 11:00 to 11:50 there will be a discussion on the topic “Let’s talk Logistics: Nearshoring and re-shoring, the impact on European logistics markets” at Stand 440 in Hall A1 in English.
