Specialty products for household and laundry care as well as decorative articles and food and egg colors: Brauns-Heitmann GmbH manufactures and distributes both. Stefanie Paschen is responsible for the goods flows behind the two business units, and since 2021 has been leading the overall logistics of the Warburg-based company.

“The portfolio in the area of washing, cleaning, and sanitizing (WPR) and our egg colors we produce here on site in Warburg, the decorations partly in

the Far East”, says the manager. “As a result, logistics is very diverse and you have to adapt to something different every day”

In the face of the multifaceted current challenges – whether it be the US tariff plans, typhoons in the Far East, or regulations such as the EUDR or CSDDD – Paschen feels prepared through a broad network. She also sees Brauns-Heitmann well positioned in the battle for logistics professionals.

Not only to

counter potential personnel shortages and to cushion peaks, automation already plays a large role in the company's intralogistics – and will continue to do so in the future.

“The next major project is driverless transport systems for our automated high-bay warehouse in the WPR area, says Paschen. “Our first goal is that at night, when there are no employees, the rack automatically offloads the orders for the next day and the FTS drive them to

predefined places.”

Digitized is the logistics at Brauns-Heitmann already quite extensively. The company, for example, joined the project "Cloud4Log" two years ago, which revolves around a digital platform for paperless exchange of transport documents. For the major drugstore customers, the digital delivery note upload to the cloud has already been implemented.
