AIT Home Delivery, a subsidiary of the US provider AIT Worldwide Logistics, has announced the launch of its two-person delivery service in Germany. The service is operated from a 20,000 square meter facility in Hannover and offers nationwide next-day deliveries for bulky goods, as seen in a press release dated August 11.
According to the provider, the logistics center is located near the A2 and A7 motorways, has storage capacity for more than 9,000 pallets, and is a central hub of a
new nationwide network. From here, AIT Home Delivery claims it can deliver to 85 percent of the German population within a day. At launch, the company processes around 1,000 deliveries daily, supported by 50 branded trailers and 80 two-person teams.
The service includes delivery to the desired room, packaging disposal, and optional assembly services. Customers can choose between next-day delivery or a preferred appointment. As in the UK, they receive a two-hour time window, SMS notifications about the arrival time, and the
driver's name in advance.

"It is a real game changer, based on a proven model from the UK, state-of-the-art technology, and a dedicated local team."
The offering is supported by eleven regional depots and a German logistics team. An IT-supported platform enables precise delivery planning down to individual postal codes and informs
customers in real time.
"After intensive market analysis, AIT has developed a solution that optimally complements the purchasing behavior of German consumers," explains Ryan Carter, Executive Vice President, Americas at AIT. "The early feedback from retailers is extremely positive - particularly regarding the short delivery times and the six-time delivery per week."
AIT plans to open a second location in Southern Germany next year. With a local sales team, the company aims to establish its two-person delivery service permanently in the German
