The SCM software provider Infios (formerly Körber Supply Chain Software) announced on November 4 a collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to integrate generative AI agents into the Infios Order Management (Infios OM). The partnership, according to a press release, relates to the AWS Innovation Center for Generative AI.
AI agents embedded in core functions
The Infios OM software is to be understood by the provider as "the brain of the supply chain": it addresses
the ever-higher requirements of customers for speed and convenience, the increase of digital sales channels and the shifts in demand, the press release says. Infios and AWS have accordingly redesigned these core functionalities with embedded AI agents, with the aim of simplifying ownership and increasing the precision of order management. Based on AWS's generative AI, including "Amazon Bedrock" and "Strands Agents," enterprise functions are intended to become generally accessible.
“Together with AWS we redefine what
Order Management can deliver for customers,” said Eugene Amigud, Chief Innovation Officer of Infios. “We are developing intelligent agents that proactively detect and fix anomalies in fulfillment, balance orders across networks, and forecast delivery times – even before problems arise.”
Infios and the AWS Innovation Center for Generative AI have, according to the press release, identified potentials for agent-based automation in Order Management and fulfillment. The collaboration is planned to begin in early 2026 and
will focus on the design of AI-driven workflows in Infios OM. These should simplify the introduction and configuration of workflows, generate visualizations that experts can review and refine, and proactively detect anomalies.
“In this forward-looking step, Infios is transforming control processes into intelligence,” said Taimur Rashid, Managing Director of Generative AI Innovation and Delivery at AWS. “Together we lay the foundation for workflows that can learn, adapt, and execute with the speed and intelligence modern
