Continental's ContiTech division has realigned its leadership structure. The company said this in a press release. The unit, which specializes in rubber and plastic products for various industries, is therefore preparing for independence. The Board of Management of Continental AG had announced in April 2025 that ContiTech would become independent and be sold preferentially in 2026.
Going forward, the management will consist of a management board led by Philip Nelles
(51, Head of ContiTech), who will continue to be a member of Continental AG's Board of Management, and Matthias Reinsberg (44, Finance & Controlling). In addition, as part of the expanded management, a new Executive Management Committee (EMC) will join with nine members drawn from central functions and business fields.

areas and central functions to ensure continuity and at the same time strengthen strategic decision-making,“ says Philip Nelles. „Our leadership team brings together experience, competence and willingness to change to lead ContiTech through turbulent times and into a successful future.“
For the first time, the procurement and IT areas are represented in the expanded management. Dirk Pott (49), new to ContiTech, takes over the role of Head of Procurement. Laura
Domchick (64) continues to be responsible for the IT area and reports to Matthias Reinsberg. They join the already represented central functions Integrity & Law under the leadership of Michael Neuheisel (53), Human Relations & Communications, led by Diana Hoppe (55), as well as Operations, Technology & QtC (Quality & Technical Compliance) under the leadership of Claus-Peter Spille (57). The central Finance and Controlling departments are represented by Matthias Reinsberg.
