Gunter Fittkau has been a new partner at FalkenSteg since July 2025. As the Düsseldorf-based consulting firm recently announced, the logistics expert will expand the Operations business unit to include logistics planning and consulting, thereby expanding the portfolio of the consulting company specialized in special situations and turnaround.
The trained freight forwarding clerk Fittkau brings extensive expertise in the logistics and transport sector, which covers intra-, warehouse and contract logistics, warehousing, and forwarding processes. His broad industry experience includes mainly medium-sized companies from the metal and
plastics processing industry, printing industry, as well as the food and wholesale sectors.
“Through Gunter Fittkau, we can expand our service offering in the Operations area with a key component,” said Sebastian Wilde, Managing Partner of FalkenSteg. “His more than 30 years of experience in the planning, consulting, and forwarding industry will benefit our clients in optimizing their logistical processes.” The Operations business unit, established in early 2024 by Andreas Willeke, takes over the operational implementation of turnaround concepts. The measures range from optimizing, relocating, or
expanding production facilities, to efficiency increases in manufacturing and the establishment of new automated production lines, to phasing out production.
Most recently, Fittkau worked as a Senior Consultant at lbn Logistikberatung, where he had been part of the team since July 2023. Previously, he gained experience as a Leading Consultant at the Real Estate consulting firm Drees & Sommer and as a partner at VuP GmbH (Vallée und Partner). Between 2001 and 2011, he was the managing director of three locations of the logistics service provider
Lila Logistik. Fittkau's areas of focus include logistics planning, intralogistics, and transport. He accompanies clients from analysis through technology and software selection (WMS, TMS, YMS) to the implementation of operational and digital systems.
