The Nosta Group has reportedly filled a central leadership position anew: As of August 1, 2025, Christian Böttcher has taken on the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) Air & Ocean. He succeeds Ivo Aris, who resigned from his position as COO Global Air & Ocean and as a member of the Nosta Group's management board for personal reasons as of July 31. He had held these functions for almost two years.

“With Christian Böttcher, we gain an internationally experienced logistics manager with more than 25 years

of leadership experience in global forwarding and logistics companies,” says Nicolas Gallenkamp, CEO and owner of the Nosta Group. Stations in Böttcher’s career included Leschaco, UTi Worldwide, Röhlig Logistics and most recently Atlantic Forwarding. There, he was responsible for comprehensive reorganization and transformation projects with proven financial success.

“On behalf of the board and the entire organization, I would like to sincerely thank Ivo Aris for his dedication, his strategic foresight, and his valuable contributions during a pivotal phase of transformation for our company. Now, we are

very pleased to have gained Christian Böttcher as a new distinguished leader for the further development of our Air & Ocean Unit. He brings profound operational expertise, international market knowledge, and strong transformation skills – ideal conditions to strategically expand our global sea and air freight business,” said Gallenkamp.

According to Nosta, during his career, Böttcher was responsible, among other things, for the global Ocean Freight Organization of an international corporation with an annual volume of over 550,000 TEU and the leadership of regional subsidiaries with several

hundred employees.

“I consciously chose the Nosta Group because, as a family-run company, it not only propagates values such as reliability, responsibility, and entrepreneurial foresight, but also lives them daily – and this already in the second generation. In exchange with Nicolas Gallenkamp, I quickly realized that we share a very similar understanding of leadership and development. I am all the more pleased to be able to accompany and further develop a company with this culture and substance in the coming years,” said Böttcher regarding his appointment.
