Würth Elektronik, Waldenburg-based manufacturer of electronic and electromechanical components for the electronics industry, announces two new appointments at the management level: Dirk Knorr has, according to a press release dated August 14, assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Würth Elektronik eiSos Group. His previous post as Managing Director of Würth Elektronik eiSos GmbH & Co. KG will, accordingly, be taken over by Sebastian Valet.
Extensive expertise in quality and
risk management
After his training as an industrial electronics technician and subsequent studies culminating in a diploma in industrial engineering, Dirk Knorr initially worked as a project manager at a solutions provider before moving to Würth Elektronik in 2005. Dirk Knorr possesses extensive expertise in quality and risk management. In his role as Managing Director Germany, he has driven digitization projects and initiated adjustments to logistics at the Waldenburg site.
In his new
role, Dirk Knorr is to be responsible for the central operational pillars of the company, including IT, digital transformation, production, logistics and quality, as well as eiSos Group compliance standards.
