The executive federal board of the Federal Association for Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics e.V. (BME) will be completed with immediate effect by Svenja Meyer, Head of Procurement, Duisport – Duisburger Hafen AG. She has been a co-opted board member in the Duisburg region, western Ruhr area, since the beginning of 2024, and since November 2024 already a member of the BME Federal Board.
Meyer
has led the procurement of Duisburger Hafen AG since 2023. According to the company, her focus is on the strategic further development of procurement, the optimization of processes, the development of category strategies, the integration of sustainability aspects, as well as on continuous employee development. Previously, the industrial engineer by training served as Head of Purchasing at Kiekert AG.
„It is a great pleasure for
me to represent logistics in the BME. During my work on the Federal Board, I have realized over the past year how much I enjoy driving important topics forward and how much value the association creates. The volunteer work of the individual regions is especially important to me. As an executive board member, I want to intensify the exchange between the regions and the Federal
Board and thus deliberately develop our strong network as well as the lived community in purchasing and logistics," says Meyer.
Other members of the executive BME Federal Board are Chairman Martin Müller Raidt (Director of Procurement, KfW Banking Group), Deputy Chairman Christian Satzek (Vice President Global Procurement, KraussMaffei Technologies GmbH), BME Chief Executive Officer Dr. Lars Kleeberg and Treasurer Gunnar Schmidt (COO, Löwenstein Medical Technology).
