The Supervisory Board of Audi AG has appointed Dieter Dehoorne as the new member of the Executive Board for Procurement. Dehoorne will take up his duties at the beginning of 2026. Audi announced this to the press on October 24.
Dieter Dehoorne succeeds Dr. Renate Vachenauer, who left the company at her own request and by mutual consent (LOGISTIK HEUTE
berichtete). Since 15 October 2025, Gerd Walker has been leading the procurement division on an interim basis.
The native Belgian Dieter Dehoorne most recently served as Chief Procurement Officer at the Danish company Vestas Wind Systems. Previously, he held leadership positions at Volvo Cars for more than two decades – including in China, North America and Europe.
Dieter Dehoorne was
born in Ghent, Belgium. He attended school in France and the United States and studied Industrial Engineering in Belgium and Spain. Dehoorne speaks four languages fluently.
