The current issue of the special edition Vision Transport 2025 again looks ahead and sheds light on the decisive topics for the transformation of freight transport. Technical articles, reports and interviews show how technical innovation, digital solutions and societal changes shape the logistics of tomorrow. In focus are developments in vehicles and fleets, strategies for more efficiency and sustainability, and the question of which framework conditions freight forwarders need for a successful transition, as stated in a press release by HUSS-VERLAG on October 10. It becomes
clear: progress in technology alone is not enough – without a robust charging infrastructure and fair working conditions for drivers, the transport transition remains incomplete.
The magazine places a special emphasis on the daily life of the driver in the electric truck — why the technology is ready for long-haul transport, but at many charging stations the basics are still missing.
Another emphasis lies on digitalization. Intelligent systems connect vehicles, trailers and dispatch to data platforms that promise transparency and efficiency. At the same time, new
regulations and their implementation raise questions that significantly influence daily life in companies. Research also brings new perspectives. Studies show that seemingly established solutions are not always the most climate-friendly—and encourage questioning of familiar patterns. This makes clear: transformation means not only new technology, but also a rethinking of structures and processes.
Editor-in-chief Christine Harttmann emphasizes: “With Vision Transport, we want to provide orientation and encouragement. The industry has the potential to bring together climate protection and competitiveness — now the task is to also use
this potential.”
The focus topics of the 2025 issue are: vehicle technology and fleet management, driver daily life and working conditions, charging infrastructure and energy supply, digitalization and telematics, as well as research and new mobility concepts.
