In the third quarter of 2026, PepsiCo plans to bring into operation a new automated warehouse in Grodzisk Mazowiecki (Poland) using Mecalux technology. The facility, connected to production for storing snacks and potato chips, was designed to increase logistics capacity and optimize operations without the need to expand the existing building, according to a Mecalux press release issued on October 28.
The project foresees the implementation of a complete solution with six shelf-handling devices that support automatic pallet
storage in racking equipped with the automatic Pallet Shuttle system. A system of powered pallet conveyors and automatic pallet handling equipment will connect the warehouse to the production lines. It is intended to enable a continuous pallet intake around the clock.
Warehouse management will be carried out by Mecalux Easy WMS software, which is integrated into PepsiCo's SAP eWM system. Through this bidirectional connection, all logistics operations are precisely coordinated, from goods receipt to shipment.
“Thanks to the
logistics automation project, we will achieve an automatic connection between production, warehouse and shipping,” said Bartłomiej Lesiuk, head of the Warehouse Automation Planning Department at PepsiCo. “We have chosen a modular design that provides us with great flexibility for future adjustments.”
