In 2024, CB Customs Broker (CB), a subsidiary of Lufthansa Cargo, opened its first international office in Amsterdam to expand across Europe, according to the information. Now the company is cooperating with Rapid Logistics B.V. (Rapid) for the processing of eCommerce shipments at Schiphol Airport.
Advancing Digitalization
On an expandable area of 1,000 square meters, Rapid is responsible for handling cross-border eCommerce shipments, while CB
is responsible for customs clearance.

Scalable System
CB provides shipment-accurate data via its own software. This is licensed by the German customs administration for the
ATLAS Import procedure for goods under 150 euros. Thanks to scalability, the system should be able to interface with the Dutch platforms DMS and Deco.
„The Dutch administration has a strong digital mindset. This fits perfectly with our approach: We want to leverage this mindset and digitize and automate customs processes as far as possible via API. Only in this way can the rapidly growing
eCommerce volumes be managed,“ says Glunz.
Amsterdam is, according to him, an important hub for eCommerce imports. For this reason, they invested there early.
