According to Austrian Post AG, a new self-service branch was opened at Laurenzerberg 2 in Vienna's city center. The offering targets over 11,000 households and businesses in the Schwedenplatz area, where packages can be collected or sent around the clock. The official opening took place by the district mayor of the Inner City, Markus Figl, and the General Director of Austrian Post AG, Walter Oblin.

Extensive equipment and digital infrastructure

The new branch, according to company information, covers an area of around 130 square

meters. It includes a modern postal station with about 540 collection lockers for parcels and 330 traditional mailboxes for the receipt of letters. Two shipping stations enable franking and dispatch of letters, parcels, and returns directly on site. An additional digital out-of-home screen on the building façade serves as advertising space at a highly frequented location in Vienna's city center. Markus Figl, District Mayor, Innere Stadt:
