As of January 1, 2026, Dachser will streamline its air and sea freight organization (ASL) in Germany and consolidate the operational handling processes at the larger locations. The company says that a leaner and more tightly bundled structure will form the basis for new growth.
Consolidation of the branches
As part of the reorganization, the logistics company intends to integrate the operation of its five smallest ASL branches in Germany into neighboring and larger locations. These
include the Berlin, Dresden, Mannheim, Rheine and Saarbrücken locations. Dr. Tobias Burger, COO ASL at Dachser:
“Dachser Air & Sea Logistics positions itself in Germany with lean administration and, at the same time, robust operations. This way we optimally bundle shipment handling and remain close to our customers through sales.”
Strengthen the general cargo network
Local sales presences, however, are said to continue according to the company. After the completion of the reorganization, Dachser Air &
Sea Logistics (ASL) will be represented at eleven locations in Germany. Approximately 60 employees are affected by the restructuring and will continue their work at one of the remaining locations, it says.

The Kempten-based family-owned company owns, among
others, the business units Dachser Air & Sea Logistics and Dachser Road Logistics. The latter is further divided into the two business lines Dachser European Logistics and Dachser Food Logistics.
With around 37,300 employees at 433 locations worldwide, the logistics provider achieved a consolidated revenue of around eight billion euros in 2024. In total, 83.2 million shipments were moved with a tonnage of 44.1 million. Dachser is represented in 43 countries with its own national subsidiaries.
