The moving and logistics company Friedrich Friedrich from Griesheim has, in November 2025, for the first time put a fully electric truck into operation. According to the company, it is a Fuso eCanter with a permissible gross vehicle weight of 7.5 tonnes, a 30-cubic-meter box body, and a lifting platform. The vehicle is intended mainly for in-house logistics of a longstanding customer in Darmstadt. The range of the electric truck is around 200 kilometers, according to Friedrich Friedrich.

Vehicle tailored

to logistical requirements

To meet the specific requirements in the moving and logistics business, the vehicle was extensively modified. The loading floor features additional eyelets for tie-down straps as well as a holder for a pallet jack to secure the cargo. Both the body and the vehicle are equipped with LED lighting. A special feature concerns the turning assist system: as the box body is wider than the standard version, the sensors have been specially adjusted to ensure the full

functionality of the system.

Comfort features for the driver

The driver of the new vehicle, Cezary Musial, benefits from a modernly equipped cab. The eCanter includes, among other things, adaptive cruise control and the Apple CarPlay interface. Friedrich Friedrich emphasizes that, with this, increasingly modern driver-assistance and comfort systems are making their way into the commercial vehicle sector.

„The introduction of our first fully electric truck is far more than an investment in the fleet; it is a clear signal

for the future of logistics. In this way, we demonstrate that environmental protection and logistics can indeed go hand in hand,“ emphasizes Ralf Stößel, managing partner of Friedrich Friedrich.

Step toward sustainable logistics

According to the company, the introduction of the first fully electric truck marks an important milestone in the further development of the fleet. Friedrich Friedrich sees this as a clear signal for the future of logistics and emphasizes that environmental protection and logistics are compatible with one
