Dachser has taken over the first seven of a total of 15 fully electric eActros 600 for long-distance transport at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Wörth am Rhein. The tractor units are to be used for long-distance transport in the groupage network at the locations in Hamburg, Karlsruhe, Dortmund, and Freiburg in the future.
A further eight electric trucks will then be delivered to Dachser locations and service partners in the coming months, it is stated. Alexander Tonn, Chief Operations Officer (COO) Road
Logistics at Dachser:

Routes over 500 kilometers
The logistics company had initially deployed the first electrically operated vehicles on the last mile in delivery traffic ten years ago. Overall, more than 140 electric trucks for Dachser are now on the road at various European locations, even for

Service Leasing Possible
The logistics service provider has been working closely with Mercedes-Benz
Trucks as part of its climate protection strategy since 2019, among other things, in customer trials with preproduction and prototype vehicles of the eActros 300. Since the end of last year, Dachser subsidiary Brummer has also deployed twelve eActros 600.
Daimler Truck Financial Services Germany (DTFSD) also offers service leasing for fully electric vehicles.
