Nuremberg as an ideal location
The Nuremberg site is the global logistics hub for Siemens Smart Infrastructure, from which production and commercial goods are stored and shipped around the world. The proximity to existing Hellmann locations creates operational synergies, enables flexible staffing, and increases the
responsiveness of the supply chain, according to the logistics provider. In addition, the site meets all requirements for secure air freight handling and has a recognized air security status.
The takeover of the Nuremberg site was the next step in the growing partnership. For more than ten years, Hellmann has been active for Siemens Smart Infrastructure at the Czech site Bor and is responsible
for warehousing logistics there. This contract has recently been extended by a further five years. Sven Markert, Head of Supply Chain Logistics, Siemens Smart Infrastructure:
