The board of Geodis, chaired by Marie-Christine Lombard, is strengthened by two new appointments: David-Olivier Tarac has been appointed Executive Vice President Artificial Intelligence and Carole Besnard named Group Chief Financial Officer. Tarac joined the company in July 2022 as Deputy Group CFO and was appointed Chief Financial Officer in January 2023.
He will be replaced as Group Chief Financial Officer by Carole Besnard, who has served as Deputy CFO since 2018. She brings more than 25 years of financial experience and joined Geodis in 2012 as Head of Accounting Studies and Methods. In 2014 she moved to SNCF Logistics and returned in 2017 as Group Accounting and Internal Control Director to Geodis' finance department. Since 2018 she has been Deputy Group CFO in the group.
Sven Wellbrock will assume management of the BLG AutoTransport GmbH & Co. KG from 1 October 2025, and in this role will take responsibility for the areas of Transport and Rail, it says. Wellbrock held more than 20 years of various management positions in the VTG group, including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Safety Officer. From 2013 to 2023 he served as Managing Director of VTG Rail Europe GmbH, responsible for all leasing activities and plants of VTG in Europe, and since 2019 additionally for the rail logistics and EVU undertakings.
With his move to BLG Wellbrock will extend his experience in the rail sector to the fields of
road and inland shipping. He will be based in Bremen as well as Mainz in the future. Previously he worked for Kühne & Nagel, the Preussag AG as well as the Transwaggon AG, and held various leadership positions in the VTG group.
Franz Staberhofer has been appointed to the board of the European Logistics Association (ELA). He is currently Vice President of the Austrian Supply Chain Intelligence Institute Austria (ASCII) as well as VNL-Chairman. Additionally, Staberhofer, with the Logistikum at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, leads Austria's competence center for logistics and supply chain. The
The Supervisory Board of the ZF Friedrichshafen AG has announced that the existing contract with the incumbent Chairman of the Executive Board Dr. Holger Klein will be terminated by mutual consent. He will leave the Board on 30 September 2025. The new Chairman of the Board has been appointed, Mathias Miedreich, who has been a member of the Board since January 2025 and heads the division for Electrified Propulsion Technologies. Klein had held various management positions at ZF since 2014 before taking over as Chairman of the Board of ZF on 1 January 2023. At the same time, Prof. Dr. Laier and the Supervisory Board of ZF Friedrichshafen AG have mutually agreed to terminate his term as a member of the Board of Management on 30 September 2025, as stated. He had been a member of the Board
of Management since January 2023 and had responsibility for the divisions Commercial Vehicle Solutions and Industrial Technology as well as the departments Production, Materials Management and the India region. The company will inform in due course about the succession for the Board positions for the Electrified Propulsion Technologies division and for the divisions Commercial Vehicle Technology and Industrial Technology in due course, according to the information.
Change on the Board of Volkswagen Financial Services AG: Christian Löbke, who for eight years has served as Chief Risk Officer and is one of the three managing directors of Volkswagen Bank GmbH, will - subject to the approval of the supervisory authorities - take over the Board's risk management portfolio from Frank Fiedler on 1 October 2025. Fiedler will resign his mandate on 30 September 2025 for personal reasons at his own request.
Löbke moved to Volkswagen Financial Services AG in 2010; until 2017 he was responsible there for group-wide risk management. In 2017 he was appointed Chief Risk Officer to the managing director of Volkswagen Bank GmbH. Fiedler joined the Volkswagen Group in 1990 as a trainee. Since September 2005 he was a member of the Board at Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge for Finance and IT, before he became Chief Financial Officer of Volkswagen Financial Services AG in 2008. In 2014 Fiedler additionally took over procurement and in 2015 the industrial insurance. In July 2024 there then occurred the
move to the Board's Risk, Tax and Legal portfolio.

The membership assembly of the Association of the Rail Industry in Germany (VDB) e.V. has elected three new members to the VDB Presidium: Kerstin Schreiber (Funkwerk AG), Tim Dawidowsky (Alstom Transportation Germany GmbH) and Martin Wawra (J.M. Voith SE & Co. KG | VTA). Schreiber, a board member of Funkwerk AG, succeeds Dr. Anne-Marie Großmann (Georgsmarienhütte Holding GmbH), who is resigning her mandate.
