Movianto plans to open its third site in Germany in the Baden-Württemberg VGP Park Wiesloch-Walldorf in the summer of 2026. At the new location, for the first time in Germany, it will also be possible to store deep-frozen pharmaceuticals and medicines, according to the company.

A long-term lease with the Belgian family-owned company VGP has been signed and the building is already standing. This month we can start interior construction and plan to bring the facility into operation in two steps in the second and third quarters
of 2026.”
Ultra-deep freezing down to minus 80 degrees possible
The new site in the VGP Park Wiesloch-Walldorf geographically belongs to the Baden-Württemberg municipality of Wiesloch and is located near the Walldorf interchange with the A5 and A6.
The logistics operator rents in the industrial area in the vicinity of the SAP headquarters from the VGP owner 30,000 square meters of warehouse space and 1,500 square meters of office space. The entire warehouse has been designed to be temperature-controlled and divided into different temperature zones. Spamer:
“We will initially have space for 30,000 pallet positions in the ambient area, i.e., at 15 to 25°C, in the second step around 10,000 spaces in the cooling area at 2 to 8°C and 1,200
in the deep-freeze area at minus 20°C. If needed, we also offer deep-freeze storage at minus 40°C and ultra-freezing down to minus 80°C.”
It is planned to operate with two shifts and to employ up to 180 staff, it continues.
Safe, clean and economical
In order to meet the EU requirements of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) for medicines, all processes from goods receipt, through inbound and outbound storage, picking and shipping must be GDP-certified.
As soon as the site also takes on manufacturing tasks, a corresponding GMP license (Good Manufacturing Practice) is planned, according to the company. To ensure the highest possible safety standard, the pharma logistics provider aims for a TAPA-C certification for the site. The Transport Asset Protection Association
(TAPA), founded by shippers, is a global association dedicated to protecting sensitive goods, has defined the highest safety standards and verifies compliance with special certifications.
Environmentally friendly operation
The property is also to be DGNB-certified and rated Gold under the leading real estate standard.
In addition to a heat pump heating system, which can also be used for cooling, LED lighting, rainwater infiltration, and a photovoltaic system (PV) are planned to enable an economical and environmentally friendly operation, it is said.
The PV system on the roof is expected to generate around 3,100 megawatt-hours of electricity per year. That would be more than the company's projected electricity consumption at the site, so the surplus should be fed into the public grid.
