Continental, the tire manufacturer, continues its commitment to the health and safety of truck drivers and extends its collaboration with the DocStop association until the end of 2027. The partnership has existed since 2019 and aims to improve access to medical care for professional drivers on the road.

“Truck drivers are the backbone of our economy. Without them, supply in Europe would come

to a standstill,” says Timo Röbbel, Head of Marketing for the Tire Replacement business at Continental.

DocStop: Medical assistance on Europe’s roads

The DocStop association for Europeans was founded in 2007 to enable truck drivers facing health problems to receive rapid medical care. There are now several hundred contact points where drivers can quickly receive help. As Joachim Fehrenkötter, chairman of DocStop, explains,

Practical implementation of the partnership

Continental not only supports DocStop financially but also engages directly in the daily lives of the drivers. According to the information, company employees participate annually in the DocStop Christmas campaign. The bags are packed with candies, small gifts

and useful items and are personally handed over at German rest stops.
