Transport companies that regularly operate on the Iberian Peninsula can now pay at significantly more petrol stations in Spain with their DKV Card. As the company announces, the Spanish acceptance network will now cover around 6,000 petrol stations. More than 320 new stations of the Shell brand have been added. The agreement for integration was made with Grupo Disa, which operates in Spain as a licensee of the Shell brand.
According to the company, the expansion affects over 270 stations on the Spanish
mainland and the Balearic Islands. Additionally, about 50 more Shell stations have been added, operated by independent licensees. Further connections are being prepared. These stations will also accept the DKV Card in the future. In addition to conventional and alternative fuels, further services such as car washes are available at the newly integrated Shell stations.
Sven Mehringer, Managing Director of Energy & Vehicle Services at DKV Mobility, sees the network expansion as an important step in the regional growth strategy:

Those planning their routes along the Iberian North-South or East-West axis can now rely on higher supply security – an indispensable factor given the increasing competitive and
cost pressures in international road freight transport. This also reduces empty runs to far-away petrol stations, saving time and stabilizing operational processes.
With the latest expansion, DKV Mobility claims to offer access to the largest energy-independent acceptance network in Europe. This includes around 70,000 petrol stations for conventional fuels, 938,000 charging points for electric vehicles, and 24,000 stations for alternative fuels. In Spain alone, the number amounts to about 6,000 petrol stations, around 22,000 charging points, and approximately 1,200 stations for alternative fuels.
