Bosch Secure Truck Parking, Infoware GmbH, and Toll Collect have announced the bundling of their competencies to improve the search for parking along Germany's federal motorways. From now on, Infoware is expanding its route planning MapTrip Maps and navigation solution MapTrip Truck and provides dispatchers and drivers with real-time data on the occupancy of public truck rest areas. Both apps now also offer the possibility to directly reserve bookable parking spaces from the Bosch Secure Truck Parking network. The basis for further development is the new Parking Space Information Service (SID) by Toll Collect. With the start of the pilot phase in July 2025, the service already provides occupancy data for about half of all public truck rest areas on the Autobahns. Under the newly created brand Bosch Road Services, various digital services for truck traffic are bundled – including Bosch Secure Truck Parking and the new service Bosch Truck Charging.

Transparency about public and private parking spaces on motorways
With the help of the SID data, dispatchers and drivers can view in real time whether public parking capacity is available. If these are fully occupied, users can directly access free parking spaces at truck stops and company parking lots and reserve them seamlessly. Dispatchers can use the extended features with MapTrip Maps to plan routes even more transparently and efficiently, while truck drivers can access the new information via MapTrip Truck. When a parking space is booked, the drivers receive booking details such as the name and address of the facility automatically through the telematics-system interface via the MapTrip Truck app on their mobile device, the provider outlines. In the app, available parking spaces
are also displayed sorted by remaining driving time. This reduces stress and pressure in truck parking searches and helps to keep track of remaining driving time.
Parking Space Information Service (SID) in the pilot phase
The Parking Space Information Service (SID) is a joint project of Toll Collect, the Federal Ministry of Transport (BMV), the Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility (BALM) and Autobahn GmbH of the Federal Republic of Germany (AdB). Since July 1, 2025, occupancy data are initially available in a pilot phase for around 50 percent of public truck rest areas. These data are provided via the Mobilithek platform and are available for integration to companies like Infoware GmbH. By the end of 2025, occupancy data for all about 1,900 public rest areas on motorways will be integrated, and at the same time data quality will be continuously increased. The SID data are based on pseudonymized information from the truck toll system and show actual occupancy in real time. They help reduce search traffic, comply with statutory
driving and rest times, and better distribute trucks to available parking spaces.

Efficient dispatch, relaxed drivers
The combination of real-time data and digital booking optimizes route planning. Drivers are guided to free or reserved parking spaces—making a crucial contribution to avoiding unnecessary detours and safety-critical parking.
