A weekend full of horsepower, emotions, and community: At the 38th International ADAC Truck Grand Prix at the Nürburgring, MAN Truck & Bus Germany made a spectacular impression both on and off the racetrack. Around 134,000 motorsport fans transformed the Nürburgring into a festival of superlatives in mid-July. At the center: powerful racing trucks, the birthday celebration of the drivers' club Trucker’s World by MAN, and a booth that combined technology and passion.

Norbert Kiss extends lead in the FIA ETRC

Sportingly, the MAN race teams delivered top performances. The Hungarian serial winner Norbert Kiss extended his lead in the overall standings of the FIA European Truck Racing Championship to 211 points with his more than 1,000

HP MAN truck. René Reinert and local hero Sascha Lenz from Urmitz also impressed with consistent performances, securing fourth and fifth places. This reinforced MAN's position as a strong partner in truck racing.

Trucker’s World by MAN: 20 years of commitment to drivers

A special anniversary was at the center off the racetrack: Trucker’s World by MAN celebrated 20 years of commitment to drivers. Since 2005, the club has provided a platform for exchange, support, and recognition. Over 12,000 members, fans, and guests participated in the big birthday celebration. The highlight was the new anniversary truck in Trucker’s World design, which will soon be on the road for the forwarding company Kautetzky—and is set to appear in

the Lion Story film series this summer.

The MAN booth, spanning 1,750 square meters, was a major attraction. Technically inclined visitors could admire highlights such as the new MAN TGX Power Lion Edition with D30 engine, the fully electric eTGX for long-haul transport, and the elaborately restored MAN F8 from the cult series “Auf Achse.” Creative customer vehicles—ranging from show trucks to the “Lagertruck Buchna”—also drew amazement. Employee Franz Zerle contributed two extraordinary exhibits, including his show truck with a unique design.

There was also provision for personal contact and a good atmosphere. Visitors met racing driver Sascha Lenz, who received

his new eTGX as a tractor unit at the event. The flash mob of the Trucker’s World community created a lively atmosphere, along with interactive activities, competitions, and children's programs. A scissor lift ride with a panoramic view served not only entertainment but also supported the Trucker’s World relief fund with its proceeds. Partners like Kögel and BFS contributed their donation campaigns.

With a mix of motorsport, innovation, tradition, and solidarity, MAN showed their colors in the transport community. Stefan Schall, Managing Director of Truck, Van & Used at MAN Truck & Bus Germany, drew a clear conclusion: "This anniversary weekend was a strong signal for cohesion in the industry—and proof of how technology, passion, and humanity
