The EXPO REAL 2025 real estate trade fair (October 6–8, at Messe München) also puts the future of logistics real estate in focus. While the housing market dominates the headlines, logistics remains one of the most stable segments of the real estate industry. According to the EXPO REAL Trend Index 2025, 47 percent of respondents rate logistics real estate as an attractive asset class

– evidence of the enduring relevance of modern warehouse and distribution facilities.

Less bureaucracy, better financing, more sustainability – these are the sector's central demands. About 79 percent of market participants would like simpler approval procedures in order to implement projects faster. At the same time, the pressure to operate spaces energy-efficiently and to improve the CO2 balance is growing. Topics such as serial

construction methods, digitalization, AI, and ESG criteria are therefore at the center of numerous forums at the trade fair.

On the TechTalk Stage, digital solutions and automation concepts will be presented, while the DECARB ARENA presents pathways to the climate-neutral transformation of real estate. Both formats provide impulses for developers, investors, and operators of logistics real estate who want to combine sustainability and economic

viability.
