Eleven employees of Renault Trucks Germany crossed the Alps by bicycle in four days – from Munich to Lake Garda. Parallel to the sporting challenge, a fully electric Renault Trucks E-Tech Master of the 4th generation took on the same route. The goal: To complete the over 350-kilometer journey with just one battery charge. near Munich to Lake Garda, over more than 350 kilometers including crossing the Alps.
The aim was to test the performance of the fully electric transporter under real conditions – particularly with regard to range, efficiency, and reliability. Thanks to intelligent energy use, predictive driving, and effective recuperation, the E-Van arrived at the destination with a remaining range of 40 kilometers. At the same time, the project was intended to promote team spirit and the commitment of our employees, according to Löbbecke, which is just as
important as technological advancements.

Bike for the planet – Cycling for the climate
But the tour serves more than just technological proof. The manufacturer also used the project as a statement of
environmental commitment. As part of the "Kolping Cycling 2025 – Kilometers for the Climate" initiative, all driven kilometers are collected. For every 50 kilometers per person, the Kolpingwerk plants a tree in Germany. Thus, a sporting motivation becomes a concrete contribution to climate protection. Further information can be found here.
