Agile Robots, a provider of AI-powered automation solutions, officially opened its global headquarters in Munich-Sendling on June 4. From Munich, the company develops AI-equipped industrial and research robots that are used worldwide. According to company statements, Agile Robots has doubled its revenue annually over the past four years, reaching 200 million euros. The global robotics market is estimated to grow by more than 20 percent annually and will reach a volume of over 180 billion US dollars by 2030. A key driver of this growth, according to Agile Robots, is the increasing "Physical Intelligence" of robots – their ability to learn and

interact effectively with the physical world. The company is a spin-off from the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and benefits, in its own assessment, from Munich's research and innovation environment.

"With our technologies, we actively shape industrial transformation. We have already implemented over 10,000 automation solutions for global industry leaders - from consumer electronics to the automotive sector. 'Made in Bavaria' represents both our innovative strength and our commitment to the highest quality," emphasizes Dr. Zhaopeng Chen, founder and CEO of Agile Robots.

Convinced Bavarians

Bavaria's Prime Minister Dr. Markus Söder MdL commented on the importance of Agile Robots for the Free State:

"Perfect match: Here, on the most modern research area, the robots of tomorrow are created - made in Bavaria. Bavaria is the number one technology location and our high-tech agenda is a model for all of Germany. With six billion euros, we invest more than any other state in modern key technologies like AI, robotics, and aerospace and offer a unique tech ecosystem for founders, scientists, and companies."

According to a press release, Agile Robots is intensively committed to close collaboration between research and industry to strengthen Bavaria's innovation location and advance Germany's industrial competitiveness. The company reportedly invests more than 80

million euros annually in research and development in Germany.

"Agile Robots demonstrates how research and economy together drive innovation. As a spin-off from the DLR, Agile Robots is part of an ecosystem that develops robotic technologies and transfers them into practice. The success story of Agile Robots highlights the enormous potential of Germany as an innovation location," explains Prof. Dr. Anke Kaysser-Pyzalla, Chairwoman of the DLR.

According to its own statements, Agile Robots employs more than 2,300 staff worldwide and has one of the largest research and development teams in the industry. With production sites in Europe, China, and India, Agile Robots
