OG Clean Fuels has taken over the French Proviridis Group on November 5, 2025. With the acquisition the Dutch company expands its network for alternative fuels and charging infrastructure for the first time into France. According to company information, OG Clean Fuels now operates nearly 400 sites in the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Italy and France.

Marcel Borger, founder and CEO of OG Clean Fuels: “We are strengthening our position as Europe's leading provider of exclusively climate-friendly fuels for road transport with the takeover of Proviridis and the market entry in France.”

Technology-neutral strategy for climate-friendly energy supply

The company reportedly pursues a technology-neutral strategy and offers

energy for road transport in the form of Bio-CNG, Bio-LNG, HVO100, green hydrogen as well as renewable electricity via rapid charging stations. With this OG Clean Fuels aims to expand the supply of alternative energy carriers for the defossilization of road freight transport across Europe. The company's goal is to increase its planned annual revenue from EUR 150 million in 2026 within five years to EUR 500 million by expanding the European fueling and charging infrastructure. This growth strategy is supported by investments from the financial partner Pioneer Point Partners amounting to EUR 150 million.

19 new Multifuel locations in France

With the takeover of the

Proviridis Group, OG Clean Fuels takes over 19 fueling and charging points in France. The locations, which had previously been operated under the brands V-Gas and Z-E-N, lie, according to the company, mainly along important traffic corridors or in the metropolitan areas of Paris, Lyon and Marseille. As with the German stations, OG is aligning the offering primarily to road freight transport.

In the coming months all French facilities are to be rebranded to the OG Clean Fuels brand. At the same time the company intends to expand the existing offer of CNG and LNG with Bio-CNG and Bio-LNG. By integrating the previous brands V-Gas and

Z-E-N into its own network, OG Clean Fuels says it will strengthen both regional customer relationships and the wider supply for international fleets across Europe. France is regarded as one of the most dynamic and fastest-growing markets in Europe for renewable CNG and LNG.

Employees and know-how remain intact

As part of the takeover, OG Clean Fuels will take over all 25 employees of Proviridis. This increases the total number of company employees to around 120. According to OG Clean Fuels, the combination of existing expertise in alternative fuels and Proviridis's regional market knowledge is expected to further accelerate the expansion of infrastructure in France and
