The Austrian Post AG has opened a new self-service branch (SB) at Haberlgasse 51 in the 16th district of Vienna. This is intended to provide over 7,000 households in the neighborhood the opportunity to pick up or send their parcels around the clock.

The location has also been equipped with a flexible counter that can be staffed with an employee during the high season at Christmas time, according to the parcel service provider. This also allows

for the collection of bulky parcels, which would not fit in a post station.

This should relieve the surrounding post locations and increase comfort for all residents of the neighborhood. Stefanie Lamp, District Chairwoman, Vienna-Ottakring:

“The appealing interior design of the new post SB branch with two shipping stations and the modern concept of the 'flexible counter' offer high service quality. Above all, the new branch means shorter distances in everyday life for many Ottakring residents

in the neighborhood, thus making an important contribution to local supply in the district.”

The new SB branch extends over an area of more than 200 square meters and has space for three large post stations with 600 pickup lockers. Two shipping stations should enable the franking and sending of packages or returns, and a vending machine is available for refreshments, according to the CEP service provider. The new SB branch is spaciously designed, and the
